Doing a project with MBB is probably the reason you started a chapter, so it’s important you read and understand
the following guidelines. Acquiring a project:
New Projects: If a chapter has a project that they would like to do, submit the Project Exploration Form. MBB can approve it
as an official project. Project applications go through a thorough review before a project can be
labeled as an MBB project. If a project has not been officially accepted by MBB, the project
cannot be associated with MBB.
Proposed Projects: Proposed projects are ones that were submitted by other chapters,
organizations or members and do not yet have a chapter assigned to work on them. MBB posts
these projects on the MBB website under Proposed Inititatives, and
chartered chapters can apply for these projects by
submitting the University Chapter Statement of Interest form below.
Examples of a project Information about MBB's current initiatives is available in the Projects section. Feel free to
contact the project team leader if you need more information and insight.
Long Term Commitment
MBB expects a long term 5‐year commitment to a community. The implementation of a project phase
usually takes place during academic breaks (winter, spring, summer) and may seem short (1‐3 weeks),
but, a lot of work goes into the project before implementation (usually 4‐12 months). All designs and
travel plans must be approved by the Project Development Committee prior to assessment or
implementation trip.
Because projects are the backbone of MBB, we ask that University Chapters, when they participate on a project, create a smaller promotional report that we can use for publicity. This may include the website, Conflictpedia and the membership newsletter Peace & Reconciliation Report. We also ask that members send us their photographs from their trips or even during the design
stages of the project.
