Join MBB
You may join MBB as a Mediator Member, Citizen Supporter or Student Supporter. Please read the descriptions below to determine at what level you would like to support MBB's mission.
Mediator Member
MBB defines the term mediator broadly. Membership is open to anyone who is interested in joining at mediator level. This includes but is not limited to conflict resolution practitioners and educators, all commercial, community, employment, family, government, public policy, and other mediators, facilitators, conflict resolution educators, trainers, and authors, activists in conflict transformation.
Mediator Members are eligible to participate in MBB projects in the USA and abroad. MBB provides many resources to prepare and support its members' work, including the resources in MBB's Conflictpedia, where MBB maintains histories and current analysis of the region, culture and conflict. MBB provides orientation training and project-specific trainings to enhance skills, awareness and sensitivity. All Mediator Members have a personal profile in the MBB Member Profile Database.
All Mediator Members who joined MBB before the 1st Annual MBB Congress in Colorado were designated as Founding Members in recognition of their early support to establish the MBB organization.
Pay Mediator Member Dues
Your dues make the administrative work necessary to operate Mediators Beyond Borders possible. We require a minimum pledge of $1 a day for an annual total of $365 for the Mediator Member level of membership.
We encourage you to contribute a higher amount, if you are able, to be applied to MBB's Sponsorship Fund - you can use the Donate button to donate additional funds. This fund enables conflict resolution practitioners who receive low salaries, many of whom are doing important social change work in low-income communites, to join us and participate in our work. As a nonprofit, MBB asks that you set your dues pledge level in accordance with your means, pledging at higher levels as your circumstances allow.
