Project Model

MBB uses a a general 4-step project model:

Initial Screen
When volunteers begin to respond to invitations or initiate ideas, they let MBB know by completing the Project Exploration Notification. Then, while volunteers begin to explore relationships and possible interventions, MBB may be able to assist with connections, reducing duplicate efforts in the region, and linking to other interested volunteers.

Assessment
The Assessment Panel further reviews the proposal in light of MBB values, feasibility and criteria and requests additional information if needed. The Assessment Panel then makes a recommendation to the Board of Directors to either accept, decline or remand the Project. The Project is now a Proposed Project.

Implementation
If the Project Proposal is approved, the Project Team convenes, solicits MBB Members for participation and develops the project implementation plan and manual using the 12-step implementation model. A University Chapter may join the Project Team and assist with research. The Project is now a Current Project.

Evaluation
Once the project implementation plan is approved, the Evaluation Panel is appointed to develop evaluation protocols to ensure institutional knowledge is created. The Evaluation Panel also conducts periodic evaluations, audits and course corrections to improve capacity and identify where future support may be needed.
